Translation from other languages

You know those signs and tracts you see all over that bring tears of laughter to your eyes? Wouldn’t you be horrified to find out you were the cause of such mirth to others?

Run your pamphlets or signs past us for clearance and approval first. It’s way less expensive than having another batch or sign printed.

Here are a few examples of horrendously bad translations from other languages to ours:

A sign for a motoring event on the French Riviera -

“Competitors will will defile themselves on the promenade at 11 AM and each car will have two drivers who will relieve themselves at each other’s convenience.”

Sign on a Russian ship -

“Helpsavering apparata in emergings behold many whistles! Associate the stringing apparata about the bosoms and meet behind. Flee then to the indifferent lifesavering shippen obediencing the instructs of the vessel chief.”
